Zenix and SinoTruk sign MOU

China Zenix Auto International Limited (Zenix) and Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Ltd. have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a strategic partnership.

Based on the MOU, Zenix Auto and Sinotruk will co-develop a variety of new steel and aluminium wheel products for Sinotruk’s CV fleet, particularly next generation Euro IV and Euro V compliant CVs.

In addition, the two sides will also co-develop new steel and aluminium wheels for SinoTruk’s next generation of SinoTruk-MAN light-duty commercial vehicles. The wheel supplier will form a dedicated product development team for this project and be appointed as the truck OEM’s Tier One supplier for the light-duty SinoTruk-MAN commercial vehicle wheels.

Zenix Auto will also provide extensive aftermarket support and service to SinoTruk customers through its distribution network of more than 4,600 distributors throughout China.

Zenix Auto has five large, strategically located manufacturing facilities in multiple regions across China, which gave it an aggregate annual production capacity of approximately 12.5 million units of steel wheels as of December 31, 2010.

Zenix claims to be the largest CV wheel manufacturer in China in both the aftermarket and original equipment markets by sales volume.
