China EV charging interface standards to be approved


AutoChina.org (Shanghai November 1) - China EV charging interface has been standardized and is expected to be released after the draft is signed by Standardization Administration of China (SAC), according to an official with the China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATRC).

The interface standards tilt towards those of Germany, said Wu Zhixin, deputy director of CATRC at a recent Sino- German cooperation forum in Shanghai.

China’s EV standardization is led by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in conjunction with the National Energy Board and National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee. It is developed mainly by CATRC, China Enterprise Confederation and China Electric Power Research Institute. Experts and automobiles, electricity, electrical companies have all participated in the process.
